Can we swap a W0302305 evap probe for any other sensor?
It seems never ending. For me to have a intelligent answer, I need a bit more information.
I'm going to assume that you have a MBF 8503. That would mean you also have a Dixel controll. XR06CX. This controller is used with many freezers. About the easiest to follow is Masterbilt. Made by the same company in China as your Atosa. If you read pages 11 and 12 of this manual,
You'll have a better understanding of the small problems that come from NTC thermistors and this controller. It is very specifically calibrated to a certain thermistor. And the evaporator thermistor Has to be bonded to the coil properly. Inserted fully into it's tube. Polarity is important. That's why one side is flat and the other has the groove.
BTW, A loose connection or improper heat for defrost will give you a P2 error because the time between defrost and termination was to long. The P2 sensor is only active during defrost. The room/cabinet sensor is active during cooling mode.
