Lincoln Operator Manual - Return Toaster Model 8005
Page 6 says this:
By the way. That toaster is designed to keep the cooling fan circuit enabled even if the thermal cutout shuts off everything else. Additionally, the fan will continue running even after you turn the toaster off. It will do that until the cooling fan thermostat is satisfied.
What does your display show?
It shows P1
No e codes? Then check that the crumb pan is clean and that there is ventilation. What are the temp settings. Try dropping the temp a notch. Especially the tail end one.
It sounds like your machine has a lack of air flow for cooling and get's heat saturation that tripp's the high limit. Outer covers would have to be removed and cleaned as well as checking the belt. If you are toasting anything with grease fat, or sugar, they do cause a build up.
I would place a temp sensor inside to see it the control is keeping the machine at a constant temp and what temp it trip's at.
You should know, Lincoln has changed hands again and no longer deals with toasters. Parts are gettting hard to get.
