My model 200 making noise when running. with nothing in it
Are you certain there's no metal bits or bits of hard objects like clam/oyster shells in there? Use a flashlight and inspect with your eyes. Don't put your hand in there. I can't stress that enough.
If the unit really has no foreign objects inside, it's possible a rubber adapter or rubber drain outlet, which reduces vibration and sound, could be degraded.
Either way, it sounds like you may need a tech to look at it.
I hope this helps!
It's nice to know what kind of noise you have. The upper bearing is a tapered roller and with time if a seal leaks it will get some water. If you have a sort of rumble (rough roller or race and dry) or clicking, or a squeal (roller bearing locked up from a foreign particle like rust) the unit will have to be rebuilt.
