Hey from Buffalo! We are looking for parts to a "Vanguard" 12 burner gas stove. No such listing on your website. Can this name be matched up to a current manufacturer who bought the product name maybe??
Mike, I looked around on the internet and can't find ANYTHING they made resembling a commercial cooking stove. I only found a dealer using the Vanguard name selling gas and wood burning products, but no manufacturer.
I've worked on commercial cooking equipment for twenty years and never heard of them.
Can you post a picture of it? That might be helpful for us.
Have you looked inside the covers on the bottom below the oven doors for a label/serial number. Back in the 50's and 60's there was a lot of private labeling going on, but they also had the manufacturers name on it.
Update; After reviewing copyright records, the name was used by Remington arms and GE capital.(there commercial cooking line) Remington's division was sold and is now DESA Industries. They now make gas heaters under a dozen names including Dayton, GE, Vanguard, and Kenmore. But all the copyrights for gas equipment seem to be in Remington's name.
Unfortunately, It is only possible to search after 1978 and up. I remember running into the Vanguard name many years back, but to far back to remember more. And yes, it was pre 78.
