It was working freezing fine and now running but no cold. Top fan not running would this be the problem
These were built with both electronic and mechanical controls. I need to know which you have to be accurate. Assuming you have mechanical controls, the defrost timer should be set for 3 times per day with a 30 minuet defrost. Defrost is also temperature terminated. Usually in about half that time. While in defrost, the evaporator fan and compressor will not operate. When the coil is warm enough there is a thermos switch on the coil end that disconnects the fans from the circuit and trips off the defrost timer. The compressor then starts and cools the coil/thermo switch to freezing . The fans then start.
Therefore if your fans are not running, The coil is cold, either the motor is bad, or the thermo switch is open, or the defrost timer is not working right. As I recall that small unit has a "C" frame motor. Check it for bearing tightness and wear. The next most common problem is the thermo switch on the end of the coil As for the timer, your compressor would not be running if it was bad.
Thank you I will check those this afternoon and let you know
