We have a lamber f92-ek dish washer I just repaced the boiler element now heats until steam comes out and I am afraid of burning out the new element. Is there a heat senser that might need replacing
Which element did you replace? This machine actually has 4 thermostat's
Rinse tank 1 Thermostat is a safety contactor system. It disables all heaters till the water tank is full.
Rinse tank 2 T-stat is the temp control double throw thermostat. Normally closed to the rinse tank, (booster) but energizes the wash tank heater system when the rinse tank is satisfied. Helps to limit electrical load to machine.
T-stat 3 is powered from rinse tank and also a double throw and powers the contactor 3 for the wash tank heater. When satisfied it sends power to the control board for OK to wash.
T-stat 4 is a safety on the wash tank heater element. Manual reset.
Did you verify the element voltage and wiring when you replaced it?
The wash and rinse thermostats are adjustable and on the left side behind the front cover. Wash should be set at 150F, Rinse at 180 to 195 F. Make sure the sensing bulb's are properly bonded, and clean. Mineral build up will delay them if the machine is not demineralized periodically (monthly)
