Calling all techs, I need your help.
I'm looking to write a series on technicians' tales from the field. Basically, I'd like to hear some crazy tales of a problem that was difficult to solve or in some way perplexing, and how you figured out the issue. Wondering what caused the issue in the first place.
The intent is to create cautionary tales or a story that shows the importance of having trained technicians working for clients.
If you're looking for an example, check out this piece from FERMag: BACK STORY: Conductive Reasoning | 2017-02-01 | Foodservice Equipment Reports
I'm not interested in the client or the manufacturer of equipment, more generally what kind of store it was and the type of equipment. If possible, I'd like to get your name (First name and last initial only).
If you're interested, please post here or PM me. I may want to interview you over the phone or by e-mail.
I really think this series would be of interest to fellow technicians as well as owner/operators.
