Moyer Diebel 383HT dishwasher doesn't heat up. Display shows ==E.
I found the manual for the Moyer Diebel 383 HT undercounter washer from the manufacturer: http://www.moyerdiebel.com/uploads/manual178.pdf
There is nothing specific in the manual about an error code "==E" however if the washer fills but does not heat up after 20 minutes, it's a safe bet the built-in booster heater is malfunctioning. It is possible the high limit on the booster has tripped or is not functioning. Unfortunately, the manual says to "reset or replace high limit" without giving any information on the location of a reset switch.
With this in mind, your best bet is to contact Moyer Diebel toll-free at 800.858.4477
or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
The question I would have is, what temp is the water coming into the machine? This being a high temp machine it requires at least a temp of at least 140 degrees F. Once it gets to that temp it raises the temp another 40 degrees of 180 for final rinse or 10 degrees for the initial wash. The 180 makes it a high temp machine. Check the incoming temp and then you can determine if it's an internal issue.
Damn, another guest that won't get this. Oh well, on we go. Slide the machine out and remove the cover on the bottom. The reset for the booster is on the left side on top of the booster in about 3 inches. The reset for the tank heater is on the bottom of the tank just to the right of the booster tank. Between the electrical connections for the heating element. But, having a error code means that the board is probably not reading a thermistor for one or the other. You will need a DVM and check the ohm readings for both and the tank heater. Also check if the heating elements are getting power. One should also check the tank water sensor. If it failed it may have powered the tank heater without water and burned it out. This machine should still be under warranty as it was only last April it was released..
