How do I link to a file when posting or replying to a question?

Question asked by moshea on Jan 30, 2015

If the file is on another website: Click the hyperlink icon from the formatting toolbar above your post and paste in the URL you want to link to (for example, http://download.partstown.com/is-bin/intershop.static/WFS/Reedy-PartsTown-Site/-/en_US/manuals/ROU-CCC-20T_spm.pdf) :

If the file is on your computer: First upload the file to TechTOWN by clicking the pencil icon at the top of the page, and under Content select "Uploaded File":

Once you've uploaded the file you want to link to, ask your question or reply to an existing question, click on the hyperlink icon, select "All Content" at the top, then search for the name of the file you just uploaded and select it:
